Lumi-nus's dictionary, pronunciation, and scheduling data builds on several open datasets and projects. We're grateful to the people who created and maintain them, and we credit them here as their licenses require.

Wiktextract & kaikki.org (Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Chinese, English)

Dictionary data for these languages is extracted from Wiktionary, the free multilingual dictionary, using the Wiktextract tooling made available by kaikki.org. Wiktionary content is contributed by its community of volunteer editors.

wordfreq (word-frequency data)

Word-frequency rankings, used to choose which vocabulary appears in our beginner-to-advanced seed decks, come from the open-source wordfreq library.

FSRS (spaced-repetition scheduling)

Review scheduling is powered by the Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler (FSRS), an open-source algorithm for predicting memory retention.
